Valorization of oil industry wastes: Extraction of phenolic compounds from different sunflower hull fractions (Helianthus annuus L.)

The recovery of antioxidant compounds present in sunflower hulls, a waste byproduct the oil extraction process, can be industrial and environmental interest. objective work was to determine different operating conditions for phenolic from hulls seeds, using water at 90 °C mechanical agitation. To select experimental conditions, black hull hybrid (SPS3120) were analyzed, five particle sizes (>0.84, 0.84 0.42, 0.42 0.25, 0.25 0.149, <0.149 mm), three pH values (5, 7 9) samples with without evaluated. selected (pH 9, fractions size ≤0.25 mm- approximately 24 % hull, prior removal oil) also applied other black-oil hybrids (SyN3840, SyN3950, DK4065) two striped (CF201, PAN7077), evaluating total phenol content flavonoid >0.25 mm. By processing 23-24 (≤0.25 mm particle-size fraction), it possible obtain minimum 59 62 phenols flavonoids respectively, under conditions. DOI: https://doi.org/10.54167/tch.v16i3.1023
